Daniel Hashimoto, 31, has created every kid’s dream by using his talented editing skills to transform three-year-old son James into the films.
In the short 15-second clips, playful James can be seen firing Batman’s grappling gun, using Darth Vader’s lightsaber and even firing lightning bolts around his kitchen.
Daniel, a compositor for special effects and animation company Dreamworks, told the New York Daily News: “I made them mostly because he is really funny and imaginative. James doesn’t watch TV or movies very much. We play tons of games with him throughout the day.”
Daniel confessed it took hours and even days to make the videos that show astounding explosions, water and fire effects come to life.
James’ mum Mandy Richardville said even she is blown away by the videos. She said, “I think they are a lot of fun. It’s so cute watching Hashi film James while he’s playing around. Then he goes and turns it to magic later.”
Dreamworks are behind some of the greatest animated films to date – including Shrek, Chicken Run and Madagascar.
And now Daniel’s skills are getting some recognition.
His videos are growing in popularity with viewers amazed by the clever designs with the lightsaber video reaching more than half a million hits.
He said, “It’s humbling and I’m excited that a little hobby I have is enjoyable to other people.”
