Heaven in Earth – Thailand’s White Temple

Wat Rong Khun also known as the White Temple is a Buddhist temple in Thailand.Its structure resembles that looks like it was placed on earth by a god.

The temple was designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat, a Thai artist in 1997. It was almost destroyed by an earthquake in May 1997 but he was determined and inspired by  an outpouring of international support to rebuild the temple .There are restriction to the temple but it is permitted to  photograph the temples from the outside.
