Tatsuo Horiuchi is a Japanese artist, who is very passionate in digital art.13 years before retirement, he thought of learning it but it didn’t happen as graphics software was quite expensive. He decided to challenge his artistic capabilities by creating his beautiful and highly intricate pictures using MS Excel.
Horiuchi was a man with the idea of trying out something new in life, he tried many different hobbies and finally reached in digital art.He had never used Excel at work, but he soon mastered the technique and won Excel Autoshape Art Contest in 2006. His works are deeply delicate and includes harmoniously colorful images showing the traditional Japanese paintings, often exhibiting gorgeous landscapes and pieces of natural and cultural heritage.
