Family Say Bradley Lowery Is No Longer Responsive But Is ‘Fighting So Hard’
Bradley Lowery’s family have described how their little boy is ‘no longer responsive’ as they wait for the final heartbreaking moments to come.
In an update on Facebook today, they said: ‘Bradley has had a settled day, he is no longer responsive but we know he is listening to everything we say. He is fighting so hard it’s heart breaking for us to watch.
‘When the time comes there will be a update on his page first before anywhere else.
‘Thank you for all your kind words and support.’
Yesterday, his parents said he had been ‘close to going with the angels’ on several occasions but was hanging on.
Bradley, six, has a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma.
His story has been followed by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide as his parents have been posting updates on social media.
Among those touched by his hopeful outlook has been footballer Jermaine Defoe, now a friend.
He has been a mascot for Sunderland in the Premier League and walked out on the pitch with the England team, fulfilling dreams while he had the chance.
His family, from Blackhall, County Durham, updated his well wishers yesterday to say: ‘It is a hard time for us waiting and watching for our baby to take his last breath.
‘He started with fighting and he is ending with fighting.’
