A former friend of a Russian cannibal couple accused of butchering dozens of people now has nightmares “he could have been eaten and turned into a human pie”.

Sergey Labinstev claimed Natalia Baksheeva and Dmitry Baksheev – who are feared to have murdered at least 30 people – suddenly attacked him around six weeks ago.

The retired air force officer had “known them for years” when they claimed he had slept with 42-year-old Natalia.

Consumed by jealousy, cannibal Baksheev, 35, launched at his pal with a stool.

He revealed: “Dmitry said that he was jealous of me and his wife, although there were no reasons for it.

“It was not true, Natalia was much younger than me, what was he talking about?

“Suddenly he grabbed a stool and tried to hit me from the back.

“But I managed to avoid it, I served in the military and know how to protect myself.

“After that Natalia jumped on me too but failed to harm me.

“I pushed them out of my home, called a taxi and sent them away.

“I never saw them again.

“And now, seeing the news about them, I reckon Dmitry was just feigning jealousy, the truth was that they came to kill and eat me.”

The cannibal couple lured victims using dating sites before drugging, butchering and eating them, it has been claimed.

Chopped-up human remains were found in their fridge, freezer and elsewhere in their home at a hostel in a military academy in Krasnodar, southern Russia.

Police are probing Natalia’s confession that the husband and wife cannibals murdered and ate 30 people over a number of years.

Cops began investigating after body parts of Elena Vashrusheva were found at their home.

Elena, 35, was accused by evil Natalia, 42, of seducing Dmitry before he plunged a knife into the waitress in a disused building they used as their “killing crypt”.

It is claimed Natalia made and sold “pies” from suspected human meat and even supplied local restaurants.

“I could have been eaten too,” said the pensioner Sergey.

“I could have been dead.”

“Last night I had a nightmare that they were making steamed meat from me.

“Some six weeks ago I just survived.

“They could have eaten me if I had not been in good physical shape.

“And I’ve known these people for many years and always helped them.”
