Mum Fails To Notice Her 3 Yr Old Son Has Been Missing Until A Whole Day Later
A mum has been questioned after she failed to notice her three-year-old son was missing.
The little boy had been enjoying a day out at a Halloween maze with his family when he was separated from them.
But it wasn’t until 7.42am the next morning, when his mum woke up, that she realised he wasn’t at their home and called the police, reports the reports the Salt Lake Tribune .
Thankfully, the boy was found by another visitor who alerted staff. He was in tears and very cold when he was found.
Maze owner Kendall Schmidt told Fox13now.com how he made a lost child announcement over the loud speaker but no one responded.
He found the little boy a blanket and made him watch the film Finding Dory.
Police were called and the boy was taken into the care of the Utah Division of Child and Family Services.
After finally receiving a call from the boy’s mother, police referred the case onto the DCFS department who said she would need to be questioned.
It is not known if the boy has been reunited with his family yet, but he is uninjured and safe.
The case will not be investigated by police but the Division of Child and Family Services will continue to be involved.
