‘White Widow’ Isis recruiter Sally Jones has been killed in a drone strike, according to reports. The British mother from Kent had travelled to Syria in 2013 along with her child and husband Junaid Hussain to join Isis.

Jones was killed close to the border between Syria and Iraq by a US Air Force strike in June, according to The Sun.

Earlier on in the year we ran a story about her crying to come home, but sadly it looks like that’s not going to be happening.

Hussain was killed by a US drone in 2015, and had allegedly been planning ‘barbaric attacks against the West’, including terror plots targeting ‘high profile public commemorations’ this summer. Earlier this year, friends had said Jones was desperate to return to the UK. Her friend Aisha told Sky News: ‘She was crying and wants to get back to Britain but Isis is preventing her because she is now a military wife.

‘She told me she wishes to go to her country.’ Jones and her husband became infamous after hatching a foiled plot to kidnap a former US soldier and behead him on camera. Another plan was to be carried out by a teenager shooting at hundreds of people at a nightclub or concert. Hussain ran digital operations for the terror group and was killed by a drone strike two years ago.

In a Twitter post after his death Jones claimed she was ‘proud my husband was killed by the biggest enemy of Allah, may Allah be pleased with him.’ It is believed Jones recruited dozens of women to ISIS via social media before her accounts were shut down.

Since then, she has posted a series of threats on social media and posed for photos with an AK-47. The former lead guitarist also ranted about how she wanted to behead Christians with a ‘blunt knife.’ In September 2015, the United Nations sanctioned Jones as an agent operating on behalf of a terrorist organisation.
