After her young son’s death, Ashlee Hammac, the 24 year old young mother decided to build a sandpit with blue sand on top of her son’s grave. That was not only for her but also for her 3 year old son Tucker, who wanted to mourn his brother in his own way.
After shared the heart breaking pictures of her elder son Tucker, three, playing with a truck in the sandbox at the graveside on Facebook last week, photos went quickly viral. It was liked by more than 170,000 people and shared among 50,000.
At first the young mother had planned to place decorative pebbles over the gravestone but later she decided something her elder son could relate to would be more appropriate.
‘He always goes out there with me, and sits out there, and sings lullabies, and talks to him just like he was there,’ Hammac said.
