Woman Missing from Ferry
A intensive search is under way for a woman who went missing from a ferry in the English Channel.
The passenger was reported missing just after 1.30 am when the Pride of Kent ferry was around six miles off the coast of Dover.
The coastguardĀ said a helicopter from Lee-on-Solent, RNLI lifeboats and a tug boat from the Port of Dover are involved in the search, along with a lifeboat from Calais.
A spokeswoman for HM Coastguard said: ‘Dover Coastguard was contacted just after 1.30 am by the ferry who reported that a female passenger was missing and they believed she had gone overboard.
